Alabama Senators Traitors To The 5th Amendment to the Constitution

Carl Levin (D-MI) introduced S. 1867:  National Defense Authorization Act, Sponsored by John McCain (R-AZ), which is an egregious amendment to the Anti Terrorist Bill that will guarantee Americans accused of  terrorism can be arrested and detained indefinitely.  Even worse,  if they are eventually given their day in court and cleared of the charges, the President will be able to hold the detainee when cleared if they feel he/she is a thread to national security.

This bill passed the Senate by a vote of  93-7.  We can thank Rand Paul that the vote was placed on a roll call and we can see how the traitors to the Constitution and American Liberty voted.

Jeff Sessions (R-AL) wanted to make double sure that you would have no due process of right to counsel, court, jury trial or release from military custody no matter the charge, alleged danger or innocence.  Don't believe me?  Read Sessions own stance on the bill here:  http://americanvisionnews.com/479/law-of-war-amendment-confirms-extreme-indefinite-detention-powers.

The roll call vote indicates both Sessions and Shelby voted for this abomination and whatever reason they  supply for voting yes this was a treasonous vote as it is in direct conflict with the 5th amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

The Fifth Amendment states:  No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

The mere fact that this has happened on American soil in the past and the people wrongly did not charge Congress or the President with treason, that the American Japanese and others were eventually released from the interment camps does not make this bill if signed into law any less offensive.  We know that Tea Party Patriots, Veterans, Christian's and others have been called terrorist groups by Janet Napolitano, Republicans and Democrats.  Do Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby feel the same?  Their votes indicate agreement.

Do you agree that no loss of liberty going is too far when it comes to the "war on terrorism"?   Do you agree that it does not matter if the war is never ending, has no real enemy other than nebulous terrorism that changes it's face daily?  That it is okay to lose your liberties in order to gain some false sense of security?  Are you one that believes your rights come from God or your humanity?  Do you believe your rights come from Government?
Do you think the pre-Nazi Germans were evil people or just following the demands of daily life and deferring their security to the Government?  What sets America apart from the rest of the world when the people are subject to the laws of a King?  Do you value freedom or security?  Do you think that when it is your time to go it does not matter if you are hit by a bus or terrorist?  Do you think that this Government is going to protect you from suffering or death?  We know they won't protect your God given rights to life, liberty and property.

I do not trust a Government that will throw your rights away, charge you with a crime you cannot even retain counsel to defend.  Charges which may be fabricated.  I'm not trusting a Government that will indefinitely detain it's citizens, send them to foreign jails or kill them just because they can.  I do not trust Alabama Senators on matters of the utmost importance in a Republic which is adherence to the supreme law of the land.

I don't know about you but I find these votes treasonous and what I have come to expect from my Alabama Senators.

For Liberty,

Taxation is theft.
If you seek security over liberty you deserve neither.
My favorite quote:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”~Samuel Adams
