Identity Theft, Government Style

Identity Theft: Government Style, by Donna Dawson

When I was growing up we were not issued a social security card until we entered the workplace. My daughter had to register by the age of five, just five short years later, my son at birth.

I remember driving a good year before I realized I should get a driver’s license, I’d even been stopped a few times by neighbors and police and told to get on home. I voted at a precinct in my own neighborhood where the poll workers knew me and I did not need to show ID. I opened bank accounts, wrote checks, made financial transactions, signed contracts, and even rented apartments without showing ID.

I threatened leaving a Pediatric Practice because the office staff insisted on asking for the chart number instead of my children’s names when I called the office, thank goodness I straightened them out, I kept the Doctor I liked and his staff never again asked for a chart number.

I do not see myself or my children as numbers, DL number, SSN, Bank Card Number, IRS number, chart number, we are human beings having been born and named by our parents.

Isn’t the fact that you must have a Social Security Number in order to have the privilege of working, unless you are here illegally, in the United States a direct violation of your God given right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness? I know the argument, why not just comply and quit complaining, it makes life so much easier.

Compliance to Government mandates over a supposedly free people are just plain wrong and have added to the problem of identity theft. Compliance to Government mandates have added more than just identity theft to our plate, involuntarily giving over any part of what you earn to Social Security or income tax are theft, have you voluntarily agreed to give your ability to earn money for the gain of others? But I digress, with all of the numbers you must have to live your (free) life you have more chance of an unscrupulous person stealing your identity. Do you absolutely trust all the people in all of the situations in which you are required to show proof of your identity?

Do you trust the Government, when they are now capable of mandating all areas of your life, from stealing your money through a broken Social Security System, new taxation of all banking or financial transactions, new mandates in your health care and other schemes upon us to steal our private property?

We are not safer because we are issued so many numbers, check history on that score.

Your name has been replaced with a number. That is what I call Identity theft, Government Style.

  1. The current administration and it’s cohorts in congress are stealing the identity of what was formerly known as the land of the free.

  2. You've got that right Don.

I am somewhat encouraged when even a student at ASU, working at Winn Dixie, is being encouraged by her professor to read, "Economics in One Lesson", by Henry Hazlett.

    WOW

  3. That is just the tip of the iceberg! We can all see what they are doing, however the how and when are the difficult parts, because there is page, upon page, upon page, of regulation and treaties. Start looking into the Brenton Woods Agreements(Treaty with the IMF and World Bank)and all the associated USC, CFR, and Executive Orders. If people understood the monetary system and the fraud of it there would be a revolution tomorrow.

Keep searching for the truth, weigh what you find, test it, hold it up to the light and try it. Once you are satisfied that it is, in fact truth, share it.

Pleasure to make your e-quaintance DD, keep up the good fight. Take no counsel in fear.

    The most difficult

  4. Isaac,
Thanks for reminding me to read the Brenton Woods Agreements. Ron Paul is always talking about this. I am reading everything I can about the monetary system. I love Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlett, Meltdown by Thomas Woods and The Road to Serfdom by FA Hayek.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

About DD for Liberty

We render unto Caesar, but we write Caesar's laws.
We should write and uphold laws that go no further than protecting your God given right to life, liberty and property, the pursuit of happiness.
I am a wife and mother that wants the best for her family. The best as I see it is for Government to get out of the way.
God is our protector and has equipped us with all the faculties and means necessary for a productive and free life and I need no man to tell my family what is best for them.
I am a Patriot and Libertarian.
I am a fan of the greatest Peacemaker Jesus.
Taxation is theft.
If you seek security over liberty you deserve neither.
My favorite quote:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”~Samuel Adams
